I left my small town and moved to the city a few months ago. I had the mind set that if I did so, I could start fresh. Instant gratification, right? Well, the only thing that happened instantly was figuring out that, that wasn't so true. From there, I was a little lost in space, until recently. Sometimes it takes a couple awful days, a few friends, and a load of stress to realize that you have to put in some work too. The city couldn't make me happy, but I can. I forgot how it felt to love myself and explore who I am, but I'm learning now. I think I could really be anywhere and be happy, as long as I'm happy with myself. You can't give love that you don't have. So for now, I'm learning to love me.
